Sound On Sound has reviewed GIK Acoustics’ PIB Pack, now known as the PIB Vocal Booth Pro, highlighting its effectiveness as a practical, professional solution for recording vocals in untreated or compromised rooms. Rather than attempting soundproofing, the PIB Vocal Booth Pro focuses on controlling early reflections and decay around the microphone, resulting in cleaner, more consistent vocal recordings. Built using thick, broadband absorption and a modular design, it avoids the common pitfalls of thin, foam-based solutions. The review reinforces the PIB Vocal Booth Pro’s role as a serious acoustic tool designed for real-world studios and modern recording workflows.

GIK Acoustics has collaborated with Grammy, multi-Latin Grammy and TEC Award-winning mastering engineer Adam Ayan to design and build his new mastering studio, Ayan Mastering, in Portland, Maine. The project marks Ayan’s first independent facility following the closure of the legendary Gateway Mastering, where he spent over 25 years shaping some of the world’s most iconic records.
