Performance You Can Trust

Every GIK product is tested at the world-renowned University of Salford, following BS EN ISO 354:2003 standards. This scientific approach not only ensures complete transparency in how our products perform, but also drives our R&D process. So every panel, bass trap, or diffuser we release is engineered to deliver results you can trust.

Materials
Camira Cara Fabrics

GIK is excited to use the Camira Cara fabric line standard in all our products. The Camira fabric will look familiar to fans of Guilford of Maine fabrics, similar to their FR701 line but with different color options. With a richer aesthetic and tactile feel and wider range of available colors compared to our previous standard offerings, Camira Cara allows every product to look as good as it performs.

Sustainability

GIK Acoustics has long prioritized sustainability as a guiding principle. We carefully select materials that balance acoustic performance with environmental responsibility, sourcing from suppliers who share our commitment to reducing waste and carbon impact. Our products use durable, recyclable components that minimize landfill waste while maintaining the highest acoustic standards.

Health & Safety

Health and safety are built into every GIK product. All materials—including fabrics, cores, and wood elements—are formaldehyde-free, low-VOC, and independently tested for indoor air quality. This ensures our treatments are safe for studios, homes, schools, and offices alike. We believe superior acoustics should never come at the expense of well-being, which is why our products are made with clean, non-toxic materials that protect both the people who use them and the spaces where they’re installed.

Care Instructions
Camira Cara Fabric

Vacuum regularly. Wipe with a damp cloth using soap and water or use proprietary upholstery shampoo. For deeper cleaning use bleach or alcohol.

Veneer Finishes

Clean with a soft cloth or soft brush, lightly dampened with kukewarm PH-neutral, soapy water. Do not use solvents or chemical cleaners, but cleaning can be done with alcohol-based cleaners. Finally, wipe with a damp cloth afterward.

A Lightweight Ceiling Diffusion Solution

Ceilings, especially in taller rooms, are excellent places for diffusion. If, however, you have a drop tile ceiling, it’s difficult to hang anything from it. Drop ceilings can also provide a bit too much upper-, mid- and high-frequency absorption. We have a solution for you: the GIK Acoustics GridFusor©.

Mirror-Imaged 13 Root Diffusers

Incorporating a mirror-imaged pair of 13-root diffusors, the GridFusor© provides excellent diffusion from 600 Hz to 5,000 Hz and additional scattering below and above the diffusion range. The GridFusor© is light enough that no additional support is required for your existing ceiling grid and it’s light enough that insulation above can still provide broadband bass control.

The Antidote to Dead Ceilings

If your room is a bit too dry due to carpeted floors and acoustic tile ceilings, the GridFusor© is a perfect solution. Stop having your hands tied when it comes to dealing with room acoustics where a drop tile ceiling is required.

Although the GridFusor© is designed to work in a drop ceiling situation, it can also be used other places in your room as required. It is easily mounted with impaling clips.

Lightweight, Unfinished, Paintable

The Gridfusors are made from unfinished EPS foam, so they are lightweight. They can be painted (with non-oil-based paint only) to match any decor.

FAQ

What is the GridFusor used for?

The GridFusor is a lightweight, molded diffusor that scatters sound to reduce flutter echoes and create a more natural sense of space. It’s an affordable way to add diffusion without adding absorption that deadens the room.

Where should I install the GridFusor?

The GridFusor is designed to fit perfectly into standard drop ceiling grids, making installation quick and seamless. They can also be mounted to walls using impaling clips, brad nails, or screws, giving you flexibility to place them wherever reflections need to be scattered while keeping energy in the room.

How does the GridFusor differ from wood diffusors like the Q7D or Q11D?

While the Q7D and Q11D are solid wood quadratic diffusors with deeper frequency range coverage, the GridFusor is made from lightweight molded EPS foam. It’s less expensive, lighter, easier to install in ceilings, and still very effective in the mid and high frequencies.

Can I mix GridFusors with absorptive panels?

Yes. In fact, combining GridFusors with broadband absorbers or bass traps is one of the best strategies for achieving a balanced acoustic environment. The absorbers handle decay control, while the GridFusors keep the room lively and open without being harsh.
