Many professional recording studios, control rooms, and listening rooms utilize diffusion in order to create an even coverage pattern within the listening space.

Diffusion is often defined as the the scattering of sound in a non-uniform path, which results in an even coverage pattern.

A combination of diffusion and absorption is often preferred within a listening environment.

ALPHA PANEL

GIK Acoustics is proud to introduce the Alpha Panel. A perfect hybrid of absorption and diffusion.

The Alpha Panel utilizes wooden slats, which are installed in a mathematical sequence in front of broadband absorption, giving a proper ratio of diffusion and absorption.

This results in an even decay time across low to high frequencies. The Alpha Panel is coupled with the necessary absorption to even out the frequency response of your room, leaving a natural and controlled sound.

The Alpha Panel comes with all necessary hardware needed for proper mounting.

The saw tooth hook located on the back side of the panel makes for a convenient installation.

If you can hang a picture frame, you can hang an Alpha Panel.

The Alpha Panel combines absorption with diffusion, enhancing any room both aesthetically and sonically. Implementing diffusion in a room is an optimal solution for controlling ambiance.

The Alpha Panel is effective at treating low frequency resonance, and will mitigate harsh reflections without removing the desired ambiance leaving your room sounding natural and properly treated.

The Alpha Panel mitigates early reflections and modal frequencies, which helps to maintain the sonic – integrity of your speakers.

The Alpha Panel allows for diffusion, giving your room a completely balanced sound without over-dampening high frequencies.

Built using thick, broadband absorption and a modular design, it avoids the common pitfalls of thin, foam-based solutions. The review reinforces the PIB Vocal Booth Pro’s role as a serious acoustic tool designed for real-world studios and modern recording workflows.
