Producer John Eye recently contacted GIK Acoustics for advice in building out his 3rd studio in the Boston area. Beach House Studios is a mid sized project recording studio for tracking and mixing. Founder John Eye has over 20 years of experience recording, editing, producing, mixing, and mastering the best quality audio, film and video projects for a wide variety of clients.
John wrote a review of our products and his experience choosing and working with GIK Acoustics. Read John’s full review here. [https://www.thebeachhousestudios.com/gik-acoustics-review-easy-acoustic-treatment/]
John used our 242 Acoustic Panels as ceiling clouds above the mix position as well as in first reflection points. He installed Monster Bass Traps with Scatter Plates on the back wall, and Soffit Bass Traps in the front two corners of the room.
He also employs our Screen Panels as gobos in the tracking rooms and places them wherever they are needed. Finally, he has another three 242 Acoustic Panels above the drum kit.
John says, “[Glenn] worked within my budget limits and helped incorporate what I already had on hand into my acoustic treatment solution. That is the attitude that won my loyalty. He wasn’t trying to just up-sell me at every opportunity, he really took my interests, issues, and limits into consideration and came up with a solution that worked for me.”
We’re proud to have Beach House Studios as a client.
